Kaplan University False Claims Act lawsuit



3 former academic authorities at Kaplan University have filed a sizable-different federal suit the university of defrauding the U.S. government out more than $four billion. The suit alleges that Kaplan enrolled unqualified students, inflated their grades to ensure that they might remain enrolled, and falsified documents to get accreditation for many academic programs. The suit was filed in U.S. District Court in Polk, Florida in March 2008.

Further, the Justice Department maintained, the “parade of horribles” that Kaplan predicted once the situation were not overlooked was “entirely illusory.” The us government is entitled with a part of the proceeds once the employees prevail from the organization. Kaplan University has declined any wrongdoing.
